Accounts Payable Specialist (Part-time)

Compensation

$25/hour: This is an in-office position, approximately 20 hours/week. Work hours may be flexible within standard business hours.

About the Role

We are seeking a proactive Accounts Payable Specialist to provide essential support across our operations, with a strong focus on accounting functions. Reporting directly to the Controller, you will play a key role in maintaining efficiency, accuracy, and organization in our day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support day‑to‑day accounts payable activities, including reviewing, coding, and entering vendor invoices in the ERP system
  • Prepare vendor payments and ensure transactions follow established approval processes
  • Maintain accurate and organized accounting records and supporting documentation
  • Contribute to a collaborative, cross‑trained team environment by providing coverage, supporting teammates, and taking on additional responsibilities as team needs evolve

Qualifications and Skills

  • Education & Experience – 2-3 years of relevant experience or a bachelor’s degree
  • Technical Skills – Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, advanced Excel skills required
  • AI Tools – Comfortable using AI-powered tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot/ChatGPT) to increase efficiency while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality
  • Analytical Mindset – Ability to manage financial reporting and data entry with accuracy
  • Strong Communication – Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Organized & Detail-Oriented – Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with minimal oversight
